The DepEd ARAL Key Stage 2 Reading Program builds on basic literacy by helping learners improve reading fluency, vocabulary, phonics, and comprehension.
Through the Reading – Basic Teacher’s Guide, students review letter sounds, practice word formation, read short stories, and answer comprehension questions. The lessons use interactive activities such as games, flashcards, word matching, and group exercises to make reading more engaging.
Key Stage 2 focuses on helping learners move from simply recognizing letters and words to understanding stories, building sentences, and reading with confidence.
