Walang Pasok: Class Suspensions for August 3, 2026

Several local government units have announced the suspension of face-to-face classes on Monday, August 3, 2026, due to the continuous rains and other weather hazards associated with Tropical Depression Luis and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

The suspensions cover different areas in Bulacan and Pangasinan. Schools in several affected localities have been directed to use Alternative Delivery Modes and other learning continuity arrangements.

The announcements specifically cover face-to-face or in-person classes. Online, modular, asynchronous, ADM, and other learning modalities may continue depending on the instructions of individual schools and local education authorities.

Parents, learners, teachers, and school personnel are advised to rely only on official announcements from their respective LGUs, schools, the Department of Education, and PAGASA.

However, other local government units and educational institutions have announced the suspension of classes and work on Monday, August 3, 2026, due to local celebrations and school-related activities.

Confirmed citywide suspensions

1. Butuan City, Agusan del Norte

Classes and government work are suspended on Monday, August 3, 2026, following the declaration of a Special Non-Working Day under Executive Order No. 070, Series of 2026.

The declaration is for the celebration of the 76th Adlaw Hong Butuan or Butuan City Charter Day Anniversary. Several educational institutions, including Caraga State University and Philippine Science High School–Caraga Region Campus, have issued corresponding no-class announcements.

Coverage: Schools and offices within Butuan City, subject to any essential-service exemptions stated by the city government.

2. Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat

There will be no classes and work in Tacurong City on August 3, 2026, after Malacañang declared the date a Special Non-Working Day through Proclamation No. 1356, Series of 2026.

The holiday commemorates the 75th Founding Anniversary of Tacurong City. The declaration has also been posted by the Tacurong City Government and DepEd Schools Division Office of Tacurong City.
