Following the Department of Education’s (DepEd) issuance of Memorandum DM-OUHROD-2025-2298, which directed all Regional Offices (ROs) and Schools Division Offices (SDOs) to immediately process and release the medical allowance to eligible personnel, SDO Vigan City has taken swift action and already released the said allowance in cash.
Early Compliance with DepEd Order
DepEd Memorandum DM-OUHROD-2025-2298, dated 15 August 2025, reinforced the implementation of DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2025 or the Guidelines on the Grant of Medical Allowance to DepEd Personnel. It mandated all ROs and SDOs to ensure the allowance is disbursed through payroll on or before August 31, 2025.
SDO Vigan City went ahead of schedule by releasing the allowance in cash disbursement, ensuring that qualified personnel could immediately benefit from the assistance.
