Class and Work Suspensions for July 15, 2025: CAR marks holiday, while select Batangas areas suspend classes due to utility interruptions

Several areas across the country will see class and work suspensions tomorrow, July 15, 2025 (Tuesday), due to various reasons ranging from local celebrations to scheduled power and water interruptions.

Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)

Malacañang has officially declared July 15, 2025, a special non-working holiday throughout the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to commemorate the 38th founding anniversary of the region. This means there will be no classes and no work in both government offices and private establishments within CAR, unless the latter decides otherwise based on the Labor Code provisions for special non-working days.

Calaca City, Batangas

In Batangas, the Schools Division Office of Calaca City has announced the suspension of classes at all levels — both public and private — on July 15, 2025. The cancellation is due to the scheduled power supply interruption by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), which is expected to affect the city for most of the day. As a result, students are advised to continue their lessons through online or modular distance learning modalities.

Lemery, Batangas

Meanwhile, in the municipality of Lemery, also in Batangas, classes in the K-12 levels of public schools are likewise suspended on Tuesday, July 15. The local government and education officials cited the anticipated water and power outages in the area as the main reason for the class suspension. Affected learners will instead shift to modular distance learning for the day.

Local authorities urge residents and students in these areas to stay updated through official announcements from their respective local government units and schools. Parents are also encouraged to coordinate with teachers for the distribution and submission of learning modules.
