Several local government units (LGUs) have announced class suspensions for Thursday, July 17, as the country braces for inclement weather brought by tropical depression "Crising."

  • San Jose, Antique (face-to-face classes only)
  • Aborlan, Palawan

Special Advisory
  • Maria, Aurora: Classes in all levels suspended due to a scheduled power interruption.

WEATHER UPDATE: TROPICAL DEPRESSION "CRISING"

The Philippine weather bureau continues to monitor tropical depression Crising, currently moving west-southwest over the sea east of Catanduanes.

Forecast: Crising is expected to strengthen into a severe tropical storm as it moves northwestward over the Philippine Sea.

Potential Impact: It may either make landfall or pass close to mainland Cagayan or the Babuyan Islands late Friday or early Saturday.

Residents are advised to stay updated on local announcements and take precautionary measures.
