The Ready-Made Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) for Key Stage 4, covering Grades 11 and 12, are now available for Term 1, Week 7, scheduled from July 27 to 31, 2026.
These instructional materials are prepared to assist senior high school teachers in organizing their daily lessons and delivering structured, competency-based, and learner-centered instruction. The DLLs are aligned with the prescribed Budget of Work, learning competencies, and instructional requirements for the seventh week of Term 1.
Coverage of the Week 7 DLLs
The available Daily Lesson Logs cover the prescribed learning areas for the following grade levels:
Grade 11
Grade 12
The DLLs may include lessons for core, applied, and specialized subjects, depending on the curriculum offerings and strands implemented by each school.
Each lesson log contains important instructional components, including learning objectives, content and performance standards, subject matter, learning resources, teaching procedures, application activities, formative assessments, and enrichment or remediation tasks.
The lessons are designed to help senior high school learners strengthen their knowledge and develop essential competencies in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, research, problem-solving, decision-making, and the practical application of learning.
A Useful Reference for Senior High School Teachers
These ready-made DLLs may help make lesson preparation more manageable for teachers. They may also serve as practical references when organizing classroom discussions, planning learning activities, selecting instructional strategies, and developing appropriate assessment tasks.
However, teachers are encouraged to carefully review and enhance the lesson logs before classroom implementation. The content, examples, activities, and assessment tasks may be adjusted according to the following:
- Learners’ academic readiness, interests, and learning needs
- Senior high school strand, track, or specialization
- Results of previous assessments and classroom observations
- Availability of learning resources, laboratories, facilities, and technology
- School, community, and workplace context
- Actual class schedules and instructional conditions
- Teacher’s preferred teaching approaches
- Need for intervention, remediation, enrichment, or advanced learning tasks
Teachers may also integrate relevant real-life situations, research-based activities, performance tasks, and career-related applications to make the lessons more meaningful and appropriate for senior high school learners.
Supporting College, Career, and Life Readiness
Daily Lesson Logs help teachers maintain a clear instructional sequence, monitor learners’ progress, and ensure that the required competencies are properly taught and assessed.
Through careful review, contextualization, and improvement, these Week 7 DLLs can help teachers provide relevant, engaging, and purposeful learning experiences that prepare students for higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning.
Teachers are advised to verify all competencies, references, schedules, activities, and assessment tasks based on the latest official issuances and instructions from their respective schools, Schools Division Offices, and the Department of Education.
