The Ready-Made Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) for Key Stage 3, covering Grades 7, 8, 9, and 10, are now available for Term 1, Week 7, scheduled from July 27 to 31, 2026.
These instructional materials are prepared to assist junior high school teachers in organizing their daily lessons and delivering structured, competency-based, and learner-centered instruction. The DLLs are aligned with the prescribed Budget of Work, learning competencies, and instructional requirements for the seventh week of Term 1.
Coverage of the Week 7 DLLs
The available Daily Lesson Logs cover the prescribed learning areas for the following grade levels:
Grade 7
Grade 8
Grade 9
Grade 10
Each DLL contains essential lesson components, including learning objectives, content standards, performance standards, subject matter, learning resources, teaching procedures, formative assessment activities, and enrichment or remediation tasks.
The lessons are designed to help learners strengthen their knowledge and skills while developing critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and the practical application of learning in real-life situations.
A Practical Guide for Junior High School Teachers
These ready-made DLLs may help teachers manage lesson preparation more efficiently. They may also serve as useful references when organizing classroom discussions, selecting teaching strategies, preparing learning activities, and developing appropriate assessment tasks.
However, teachers are encouraged to review and improve the DLLs before using them in class. The content, activities, examples, instructional strategies, and assessment tasks may be modified based on the following:
- Learners’ readiness, abilities, interests, and learning needs
- Results of previous assessments and classroom observations
- Availability of learning resources, facilities, and technology
- School and community context
- Actual class schedules and teaching conditions
- Teacher’s preferred instructional strategies
- Need for remediation, intervention, or enrichment activities
Teachers may also provide differentiated learning tasks to address the varying abilities, learning styles, and levels of understanding of junior high school learners.
Supporting Meaningful and Relevant Learning
Daily Lesson Logs help teachers maintain a clear instructional sequence, monitor learners’ progress, and ensure that the required competencies are properly taught and assessed.
Through careful review, contextualization, and enhancement, these Week 7 DLLs can support teachers in providing meaningful, engaging, relevant, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students in Grades 7 to 10.
Teachers are advised to verify all competencies, schedules, references, activities, and assessment tasks based on the latest official issuances and instructions from their respective schools, Schools Division Offices, and the Department of Education.
