LANDBANK Warns Public: Never Click Links in Emails or Text Messages Claiming to Be from the Bank

The Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) has reminded its customers and the public to stay alert against phishing scams, emphasizing that the bank does not send official emails or SMS messages containing clickable links.

According to LANDBANK, any email or text message claiming to be from the bank that includes a clickable hyperlink should be considered fraudulent. These messages are commonly used by scammers to trick recipients into visiting fake websites designed to steal personal and banking information.

The bank urged customers not to click any suspicious links and to report such messages immediately to their servicing LANDBANK branch or through the bank's official customer support channels.

LANDBANK also reiterated its earlier warning about fraudulent Google Ads that redirect users to fake LANDBANK login pages. The bank clarified that it does not run advertisements on Google, making any sponsored search result claiming to be LANDBANK highly suspicious.

How to Protect Yourself from Phishing Scams:

• Never click links found in emails or SMS messages claiming to be from LANDBANK.
• Always access your online banking account by typing the official website address directly into your browser.
• Do not share your account details, passwords, PINs, One-Time Passwords (OTPs), or other confidential information with anyone.
• Be cautious of fake websites that imitate the appearance of the official LANDBANK website.
• Report suspicious emails, text messages, or websites immediately through LANDBANK's official customer support channels.

LANDBANK emphasized that its authorized representatives will never ask customers for sensitive banking credentials or confidential financial information through email, text messages, phone calls, or social media.
