DepEd Personnel Receive Mid-Year Bonus 2026 and Medical Allowance in Several SDOs

Thousands of personnel under the Department of Education have started receiving their Mid-Year Bonus 2026 and Medical Allowance as several Schools Division Offices (SDOs) nationwide confirmed the release and crediting of the benefits. Teachers and non-teaching personnel welcomed the development as many continue to await updates from their respective divisions.

The Mid-Year Bonus is one of the annual benefits granted to qualified government employees under national compensation policies. For DepEd personnel, the benefit is equivalent to one month basic salary and is typically released starting May, subject to the completion of service requirements and satisfactory performance ratings. The bonus serves as financial support and recognition for the dedication and public service rendered by teachers and education workers across the country.

Meanwhile, the Medical Allowance is a health-related benefit provided to government employees to help cover medical and healthcare expenses. Beginning in recent years, the allowance has been implemented as part of the government’s initiatives to strengthen employee welfare and healthcare support. The benefit is usually credited directly through payroll systems once funds are downloaded and processed by the concerned SDOs.
