Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso has announced the scheduled release of ₱69,803,650.12 in funding for the allowances of 11,633 public school teachers in the city. The allocation covers the period from October to December 2025.
The mayor emphasized that the release of funds reflects the city government’s continuing commitment to support educators who play a vital role in shaping the future of Manila’s youth. As a product of the public school system himself, Moreno underscored the importance of ensuring that teachers—whom he described as everyday heroes—receive adequate support and recognition for their service.
According to city officials, the timely distribution of allowances is intended to help ease financial pressures on teachers while reinforcing the local government’s broader education-focused initiatives for the benefit of every Batang Maynila.
