The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has issued the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) for the 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) of selected Schools Division Offices (SDOs) under the Department of Education (DepEd). This marks a key step toward releasing the long-awaited PBB for eligible DepEd teaching and non-teaching personnel.
The SARO confirms that funding for the 2023 PBB has been approved and allocated. The next steps include the issuance of the Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA), payroll preparation, and eventual crediting of the bonus to qualified employees.
This development brings welcome news to educators who have been waiting for updates on the incentive granted to government workers who meet performance standards under the Performance-Based Incentive System (PBIS).
