SDOs with Released SARO for the Payment of 2023 PBB (As of November 20, 2025)

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has issued the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) for the payment of the Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) for Fiscal Year 2023 for select Schools Division Offices (SDOs) under the Department of Education (DepEd). This release represents a significant milestone toward the long-awaited distribution of PBB incentives to eligible DepEd teaching and non-teaching personnel.

What the SARO Release Means

The issuance of the SARO indicates that the DBM has approved and allocated the necessary funds for the 2023 PBB of personnel in the identified SDOs. Following the release of the SARO, the subsequent steps include the issuance of a Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA), the preparation and processing of payroll, and eventually, the crediting of the benefits to qualified employees.

This progress is a welcome development for educators who have been anticipating updates regarding their PBB—an incentive granted to government workers who successfully meet performance indicators under the Performance-Based Incentive System (PBIS).
