Class Suspensions Announced for October 14, 2025

Metro Manila / NCR (National Capital Region)

• DepEd-NCR has suspended face-to-face (F2F) classes in all public schools for October 13–14, 2025, citing an increase in influenza-like illnesses and the need for structural inspection, disinfection, and sanitation. 

Laguna Province (CALABARZON Region)

• The province of Laguna announced that face-to-face classes for both public and private schools will be suspended from October 14 to 31, 2025, and classes will shift to online modalities. 

Other LGUs / Local Suspensions

• In General Santos City, all levels of face-to-face classes are suspended on October 13–14 due to the impact of recent earthquakes. ABS-CBN

• In Marikina City, both public and private schools will suspend classes on October 14.

• Taytay, Rizal — No face-to-face classes will be held on October 14, 2025 for all levels, both public and private schools. Instead, classes will shift to modular distance learning.

• Polomolok, South Cotabato - both public and private schools will suspend classes on October 14.
