The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has announced that classes at all levels — both public and private — as well as work in government offices are suspended on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in the following areas:
- Metro Manila
- Aurora
- Quezon
- Rizal
- Laguna
- Camarines Norte
- Camarines Sur
- Albay
- Sorsogon
- Catanduanes
- Masbate
- Northern Samar
- Eastern Samar
- Leyte
- Southern Leyte
- Bulacan
- Nueva Ecija
- Pampanga
- Batangas
- Cavite
The suspension was ordered to ensure public safety, as heavy rains and possible flooding are expected in these regions due to a Low Pressure Area (LPA) combined with the southwest monsoon, according to PAGASA
