Places with Suspended F2F Classes from April 22, 2024 onwards (See the list here)



According to PAGASA, heat index is measured on the actual temperature that a person feels with the air temperature and humidity. Heat index from 33 to 41 degrees Celsius is already classified as "Extreme Caution" while 42 degrees Celsius and above is classified as "Danger" and "Extreme Danger".


Under the "Danger" level, there is a possibility of heat cramps and exhaustion with a threat of heat stroke. While in "Extreme Danger" level (52°C and up)  heat cramps and exhaustion and continuing activity could lead to heat stroke.

In consideration of the health of students and teachers in the country who are experiencing extremely hot weather, here are the municipalities, cities, and provinces that declared the suspension of face-to-face classes (half day and whole day) from April to May 2024. Provided that the schools in these areas will implement ASYNCHRONOUS/DISTANCE LEARNING modality to their learners.

  • Angeles City (All levels in public schools, April 22, 2024)
  • Municipality of Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya (Suspension of Afternoon Classes, Pre-school to Senior High, Public/Private Schools, April 22, 2024)
  • Municipality of Maramag, Bukidnon (Suspension of Afternoon Classes, All Public Schools, April 22, 2024 until further notice)
  • Province of Bulacan (All levels in public schools, April 22-24)
  • Municipality of Aguilar, Pangasinan (Suspension of Afternoon Classes, Pre-school to Senior High, Public School Only, April 22-30)
  • Cotabato City (All Levels in Public Schools until April 30)
  • Municipality of Binmaley, Pangasinan (Pre-school to Senior High School, Public & Private, April 22 - May 30)
  • Municipality of San Manuel, Isabela (Pre-elem to Secondary: April 17-19, April 22-26)
  • Ilagan City, Isabela (Elementary to Secondary Level, both Public and Private, from April 18-26)
  • Municipality of  Polomolok, South Cotabato (Afternoon classes suspended in all levels, public & private schools: April 17-30)
  • Province of Sultan Kudarat (All Levels April 17 to April 30)
  • Cebu Province (All Levels until Further Notice)
  • Municipality of Minglanilla (Until further notice)
  • Manila City (afternoon classes suspended in public schools until May 28)
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines: All Campuses (Until April 30 due to a reported series of transport strikes)
  • CALOOCAN CITY: 𝐀𝐃𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐄 (Kinder hanggang Senior High School), simula April 22-26, 2024 sa pagdaraos ng klase sa gitna ng tag-init.
