The Department of Education is eyeing to start the enrollment for the school year 2021-2022 on August 16, 2021.
DepEd Undersecretary for Planning and Human Resource and Organizational Development Jesus Mateo said that the enrollment usually takes place 2 weeks before the opening of classes.
“We are proposing probably August 16 but subject to issuance of enrollment policy,” Mateo said.
The department has already conducted an early registration from March to May 2021 which recorded around 4.5 million enrollees in Kindergarten, Grades 1, 7, and 11.
In line with this, a formal enrollment especially for the rest of the grade levels is required to enroll during the official enrollment period even those who already participated in the early registration.
