Amount of the proposed Longevity Service Incentive for Teachers based on the Length of Service


Sorsogon Representative Hon. Evelina Escudero has filed House Bill 2344 which seeks to provide Longevity Service Incentive Benefit to public school teachers in the country except those from colleges and universities.

"In order to assure that the nation would have a generation of talented, intelligent, and values-oriented individuals with love towards their fellowmen and country, we need to have teachers capable and willing to be educators. This bill seeks to give them the incentive to remain as such," she said in her explanatory note.

Under Section 1 of this bill, an Annual Longevity Service Incentive (LSI) Benefit shall be granted to all public school teachers, excluding those from universities and colleges (SUCs), who have rendered at least six (6) months of continuous service whether as a contractual, substitute or permanent under the following mode of payment:
