Transparent Bags for Safer Schools: Iloilo High School Tightens Security Measures

Students of Parara National High School in Tigbauan, Iloilo are now being required to use transparent school bags as part of strengthened security measures aimed at protecting learners, teachers, and other school personnel.

The policy was implemented this month to make the inspection of students’ belongings faster and easier upon entering the school campus.

Through the use of transparent bags, school personnel can more readily check the contents of students’ belongings and help prevent prohibited or potentially dangerous items from being brought inside the school.

The measure comes amid heightened concern over incidents of violence reported in different schools across the country, prompting some education institutions to review and strengthen their campus security procedures.
