Several local government units have announced the suspension of classes and government work on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, due to the effects of Tropical Cyclone Luis, the southwest monsoon or Habagat, and the threat of moderate to heavy rainfall.

The Municipality of Aritao said the suspension was issued following the heavy rainfall outlook of DOST-PAGASA, which forecast moderate to heavy rainfall over Nueva Vizcaya due to Tropical Cyclone Luis.

Governor Ramon V. Guico III announced the province-wide suspension of classes in Pangasinan because of the effects of Tropical Cyclone Luis and Habagat.

Work in all government institutions in Pangasinan is also suspended pursuant to Executive Order No. 71, Series of 2026.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, and follow instructions from their respective local disaster risk reduction and management offices.
