August 4, 2026 | Work and Class Suspensions

Several local government units have announced the suspension of classes and government work on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, due to the effects of Tropical Cyclone Luis, the southwest monsoon or Habagat, and the threat of moderate to heavy rainfall.

All Levels

Pangasinan

Classes in all levels in public and private schools throughout the Province of Pangasinan are suspended.

Work in all government institutions across the province is likewise suspended pursuant to Executive Order No. 71, Series of 2026.

Governor Ramon V. Guico III said the suspension was declared because of the effects of Typhoon Luis and Habagat. He assured residents that the provincial government would remain on alert and continue monitoring conditions across Pangasinan.

Residents were advised to remain vigilant and follow official safety instructions from their respective city or municipal disaster risk reduction and management offices.

Kindergarten to Secondary Level

Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya

Classes in all public and private schools, from Kindergarten to elementary and secondary levels, are suspended in the Municipality of Aritao.

The suspension was issued following the heavy rainfall outlook of DOST-PAGASA, which forecast moderate to heavy rainfall over Nueva Vizcaya due to Tropical Cyclone Luis.

Residents are encouraged to monitor official weather advisories, remain vigilant, and prioritize their safety.

Note: This is a running list. Additional areas will be added once official suspension announcements are released.
