Under the memorandum, the annual Clothing and Uniform Allowance for FY 2026 is set at Seven Thousand Pesos (₱7,000.00). This amount is intended to help eligible DepEd personnel acquire the prescribed uniforms required under existing department guidelines.
DepEd stated that the allowance shall be released to all eligible personnel, signaling support for employees as the department moves toward the full implementation of the new national uniform policy. The release of the allowance is meant to facilitate the timely purchase of the required uniform sets, especially with the strict wearing of the prescribed uniforms taking effect in School Year 2026–2027.
However, the memorandum also clarifies that the release of the allowance will not happen immediately at any date of choice. Instead, it is scheduled for release not earlier than the first working day of April 2026. This means personnel may expect the allowance beginning in April, but only within the parameters set by government financial procedures.
The memorandum further emphasizes that the release remains subject to existing accounting and auditing rules and regulations. This condition ensures that the distribution of funds follows proper government standards and financial controls. In addition, the allowance can only be released upon the issuance of the Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA) from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). Without the NCA, actual fund disbursement cannot proceed.
