#WalangPasok: Class Suspensions Announced in Parts of Bicol Due to Shear Line Rains

Classes in all levels, both public and private, as well as government work were suspended on Monday, February 9, in several areas in the Bicol Region due to continuous rainfall brought by a shear line, according to local government advisories.

The affected areas are grouped as follows:

Camarines Norte

• Daet

• Mercedes (shift to modular learning)

• Labo

• Sta. Elena

• Paracale

• San Vicente

• Talisay (class suspension)

• Vinzons (class suspension)

• San Lorenzo Ruiz (class suspension)

• Jose Panganiban (class suspension)

• Basud

• Capalonga (class suspension)

Catanduanes

• Bato (face-to-face classes suspended)

• Pandan (class suspension)

• Baras (class suspension)

• Viga

Albay

• Province-wide (shift to modular learning)

Local disaster risk reduction offices advised the public to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel in flood-prone and landslide-prone areas, and continue monitoring official announcements as weather conditions remain unstable.
