Malacañang has declared a series of special (non-working) days in various provinces, cities, and municipalities across the Philippines for February 2026 through proclamations signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., all of which were published in the Official Gazette of the Philippines.
At the same time, the Palace also designated February 25, 2026 as a special working day, even as it coincides with the start of Ramadan for Muslims and Ash Wednesday for Christians, underscoring the administration’s calendar adjustments for the month.

The local holidays are typically observed in connection with founding anniversaries, cityhood celebrations, patron saint fiestas, and other historically significant events unique to each locality. While work is generally suspended in the areas covered by special non-working day proclamations, employers and employees remain subject to the applicable labor rules, including those governing work rendered on special working days.
