DepEd Submits Requirements to DBM for FY 2025 SRI Unpaid Balances

Concerns continue to mount among public school teachers and education personnel over the unpaid balances of the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for Fiscal Year 2025. The issue has drawn sustained attention from education stakeholders, particularly as teachers await clarity on when the remaining amounts will be released.

An update was recently provided by Sir Benjo Basas, Chairman of the Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC), following his communication with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

DBM’s Earlier Position

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) earlier acknowledged the delay in releasing the unpaid SRI balances for Department of Education (DepEd) personnel. It explained that DepEd was still consolidating and verifying the unpaid balances, a required step before the complete documentation could be formally submitted to DBM for processing.

Latest Update: Requirements Now Submitted

In a significant development, Sir Benjo Basas has now confirmed that the DepEd Central Office has already submitted the required documents to the DBM covering the unpaid SRI balances for FY 2025. This submission addresses the earlier bottleneck related to consolidation and verification of data.
