President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is preparing to grant a one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to government workers, MalacaƱang announced on Friday.
During a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the President is expected to sign a document that would formalize the release of the incentive. However, she did not specify when state workers can expect to receive it.
“Hintayin po natin 'yung AO,” Castro said when asked about the timeline for the distribution of the SRI. She assured government employees that the Palace would share “good news” as soon as the necessary document is finalized and made public.
In the previous year, Marcos issued Administrative Order (AO) 27, which authorized the grant of an SRI to qualified government personnel for fiscal year 2024. Under that directive, teachers and military and uniformed personnel each received PHP20,000.
The Palace said details on the exact amount of this year’s incentive, along with its release schedule, will be announced once the new AO is issued.
