The provincial government of Albay has announced the suspension of all face-to-face classes (All Levels, Publia and Private) on Monday, November 24, 2025, as a precautionary measure against the expected severe weather conditions that may pose significant risks to residents.
Heavy Rainfall Expected from LPA, Monsoonal Rains, and Shearline
Weather forecasts indicate 50–100 mm of rainfall brought by a Low Pressure Area (LPA) interacting with Monsoonal Rains and the Shearline. These combined systems are expected to produce intense and continuous rains that may lead to widespread hazards, especially in low-lying areas and communities near rivers.
Avoid Unnecessary Travel
Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel to reduce exposure to possible hazards brought by the severe weather.
LGUs on Alert for Evacuation
The provincial government assured the public that local government units (LGUs) across Albay are prepared to implement localized evacuation procedures if necessary. Emergency response teams remain on standby to assist affected communities.
As the weather situation continues to develop, residents are urged to stay updated through official advisories and prioritize safety at all times.
