What the SARO Release Means
The issuance of the SARO signifies that the DBM has approved and allocated funds for the 2023 PBB of teachers and non-teaching personnel in the listed SDOs. Once the SARO is released, the next steps include the issuance of a Notice of Cash Allocation (NCA), followed by the processing of payroll and eventual crediting of benefits to employees.
This progress is welcomed by educators who have been anticipating updates on the status of their PBB, a performance-based incentive granted to government employees who meet the required performance indicators set under the Performance-Based Incentive System (PBIS).
