GOOD NEWS! Orientation on the Grant of PBB 2023

MANILA, Philippines — Good news for public school teachers and education personnel: the long-awaited 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) is finally set for release in 2025, according to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

House Deputy Minority Leader and ACT Teachers Rep. Antonio Tinio welcomed the confirmation, calling it a well-earned victory for teachers’ groups who have long pushed for its release. He emphasized that the PBB is more than just financial assistance—it is a recognition of teachers’ dedication and sacrifices in serving the nation’s students despite challenges.

“We urge all concerned agencies to expedite the processing and release of this bonus. Our teachers have been waiting far too long for what is rightfully theirs,” Tinio said.

Local Orientation in Cotabato Division

In line with this, the Department of Education – Schools Division Office of Cotabato (SDO Cotabato) issued a memorandum dated August 28, 2025 regarding the orientation on the grant of the FY 2023 PBB.

The orientation was held on September 3, 2025 and was directed to Assistant Superintendents, Functional Chiefs, District Supervisors, Principals-in-Charge, School Administrators, and Administrative Officers.

The session covered the agency’s eligibility, documentary requirements, and other issues tied to the release of the PBB.
