The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Partylist continues its stand for the increase of public school teachers' entry-level salary from the current Salary Grade 11 to Salary Grade 15. The group believes that the increase in salary would bring a decent way of living to all public school teachers and will help them focus on doing their jobs more efficiently.
If this becomes a law, the monthly salary of a Teacher I will be around P35,000 under the current Salary Grade 15.
House Bill No. 5990 also seeks to increase the salary of Instructor I to Salary Grade 16 a minimum salary of P16,000 for employees under Salary Grade 1.
