Amazing deed of an elementary pupil amid COVID-19 crisis goes viral

Another good deed for our COVID-19 frontliners was shown by a grade 6 pupil, yes a grade 6 elementary pupil, who willingly donated her saved-up money to buy foods for their frontliners in Iloilo City.

This grade 6 graduating pupil by the name of Sky messaged their City Mayor, Jerry Treñas, to inform him that she donated her savings amounting to P532 to buy foods for the frontliners. According to her, she was saving money so she could buy a new cellphone but decided to donate it instead. She also mentioned that someday she wants to become a doctor or a nurse.

Mayor Jerry Treñas praised this genuine act of compassion by Sky and congratulates her and her parents for raising such an amazing kid.

Here is the complete post of Mayor Treñas that went viral online:

It’s already April 8, 2020. Back in our normal lives before COVID-19 outbreak, it’s graduation time. This student, Sky, was saving money for her graduation to buy a new celphone. She saved up 532 pesos, and since she cannot celebrate her graduation, she decided to give her money to our frontliners for their food.

Thank you, Sky, for thinking of others especially our frontliners. We have to take care of them so that they can continue to take care of us. Graduation may be cancelled for now, but let me be the first to greet you, congratulations! And this will be the most memorable graduation you’ll ever have because you were able to help those in need. Rest assured that we will use your donation to buy vegetables to keep our frontliners healthy. God bless you and your family! Just like your parents, I, too, am proud of you!
