DepEd considers online-based education for the next school year

The Department of Education is preparing a contingency plan for the next school year in case the situation on COVID-19 crisis becomes worse. This is by using an online-based education called DepEd Commons which the department has already launched and already gaining positive outcomes from its unique users who are the students and teachers.

In an online interview with Usec. Annalyn Sevilla, she said that the department is doing its part to find ways for the learners to continue their study while at home and part of it is through online education.

Sevilla said.

Usec. Sevilla, however, admits that this online platform has limitations since it primarily requires an internet connection to be able to use it. She also stressed that DepEd will continue to use the DepEd Commons until the situation becomes well to make sure that our children continue to learn while at home.

Nevertheless, the department is continuing to prepare for a regular opening of classes in June for the school year 2020-2021.

May budget Sila tapos tayo wala. Wala pa ngang aklat.
