Assurance on Full Release of SRI 2025

The ACT Teacher Partylist has raised concerns regarding the timely and complete release of the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for Department of Education personnel in 2025. ACT Teacher Partylist Representative Antonio Tinio, together with Teacher Ruby Ana “Titser Rubs” Bernardo of the Alliance of Concerned Teachers, formally sought clarification from the Department of Education on the matter.

During the discussion, the teacher representatives asked Department of Education Undersecretary Fatima Panontongan about the status of the full payment of the SRI 2025 for DepEd personnel nationwide. The inquiry reflected ongoing concerns among teachers and education workers, many of whom rely on the incentive as supplemental financial support.

Undersecretary Panontongan confirmed that the full payment of the SRI 2025 is expected to be released within January. She explained that delays were caused by certain technical issues related to the obligation of funds and the availability of cash. Despite these challenges, she assured that the incentive would be paid in full once the necessary processes are completed.
