During a press conference held on Monday in Quezon City, progressive groups called on lawmakers to allocate ample funds for salary hikes and other personal budget needs.
This includes the proposal from the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) for a P50,000 monthly salary for entry-level teachers.
The legislative office intends to conclude the discussions for the 2024 national budget by the end of this month.
