Presidential frontrunner Ferdinand "Bong Bong" Marcos Jr. is committed to giving public school teachers a reasonable monthly salary and giving them more benefits so they would worry less about their financial status and focus more on teaching the young generation.
During the interview with Luminous by TCA & AGP, BBM expressed his commitment to giving public school teachers the right salary and providing them with other necessary benefits so they don't need to rely on loans.
"All teachers, all of them, I consider them all heroes...Tulungan natin ang mga teachers not only financially, we should also (provide) them with more benefits. We should do more for their families so they do not worry about their families, they worry about their students and teachings," BBM said.
Marcos has already filed Senate Bill No. 3106 way back in 2012 or An Act Upgrading the Minimum Salary Grade of Public School Teachers from Salary Grade 11 to 15 but unfortunately, it did not pass on the first reading.
In the year 2013, he then again pushed for the increase of teachers' salaries from Salary Grade 11 to Salary Grade 15 under Senate Bill No. 109.
“We need to provide our teachers with all the necessary support because they were the ones who were molding our young students to become better, responsible and productive citizens who in turn would become the country’s future leaders,” he said.
