Education Secretary Leonor Briones said on Tuesday that the department will be looking to adjust the calendar of activities for students in typhoon-affected areas.
"Alam mo dyan every year mayroon crisis, natural or otherwise, kaya handa na ang departamento sa mga ganoong sitwasyon...Una tinitingnan natin 'yong calendar. 'Yong calendar of activities, ina-adjust 'yon," said Briones.
She also noted that teachers and parents shall have to talk in organizing Saturday classes or make-up classes to cope up with the lessons.
"Magde-debate ang parents, teachers, kung mayroon bang Saturday classes, Sunday classes, extension classes para maka-make up at makahabol iyong mga bata," she added.
"So ang calendar i-a-adjust, magtutulungan ang lahat-lahat hindi lamang 'yung area which is affected kasi ginagawa naman natin yan taon-taon tuwing mayroong sakuna whether natural or otherwise," she ended.
